Now into their 30th year of operation and 20th under current MD and former NZ Motor Racing Champion Shane Drake, Chicane Racewear is a well-established supplier of New Zealand-made Chicane and Flamecrusher race suits worn by many well-known Kiwi competitors such as 2011 FIA Production World Rally Champion Hayden Paddon, GP3 Champion Mitch Evans, V8 Supercar star Shane Van Gisbergen, Fabian Coulthard, Scott McLaughlin and speedway hero Michael Pickens and Brad Mosen. Having purchased the manufacturing rights and intellectual property of the Flamecrusher brand early in 2012, Chicane exports its New Zealand-made suits to Australia, around the Asia Pacific region, the US and the UK. The company also stocks a range of the highly-regarded Italian-made Alpinestars race suits and protective race gear to complement the locally-manufactured garments.

Suit Standards

FIA & SFI Approved

All Chicane multilayer driving suits have been tested and approved to the recognised FIA 8856-2000 international standards. Single layer suits currently meet the SFI standard.

Care of Racewear

We strongly recommend (unless stated on the care label) that all race suits shown on this web site be drycleaned as the dye can be unstable when new. All garments carry care labels. Please read them carefully. Contact manufacturer for further information

The manufacturers take no responsibility for variations in colour or other garment deterioration resulting from poor care.

For an embroidery or attachment of badges after suit is made, contact manufacturer for more information.

Our Guarantee
Chicane garments are made to a very high standard. We are proud of them. If any garment does not meet your expectations for any reason, please advise us and we will either replace or repair it. As we take pride in our quality, any unlikely defect in manufacture will be rectified at the manufacturer's expense.

Exchange of products incurs additional freight charges and a re stocking fee of 5%.
